Information we collect

The information we collect depends on the service you request. It may include:

  • Your name, email, phone number, service address, postal code, parking instructions and messages to us.
  • Vehicle details, tire sizes, requested services, appointment history, quotes, package or Club membership details, and records of payments, refunds and referral credits.
  • Storage records, wheel identification tags, condition photos, collection and return dates, and service or retorque inspection notes. Vehicle identifiers may be recorded when needed to identify the vehicle being serviced.
  • Booking, on-site and payment contacts you provide when arranging service for someone else. Please provide another person’s details only with their permission.
  • Website activity and technical information, such as IP address, browser/device information, pages visited, referring website, campaign labels and advertising click identifiers. See Cookies and advertising below.

How we use your information

We use information to answer enquiries, prepare quotes, schedule and deliver services, coordinate arrival and payment, identify stored wheels, arrange returns, maintain service and financial records, manage accounts and referrals, and provide appointment and safety follow-ups. We also use website and campaign information to understand which advertising leads to enquiries and bookings, improve the website, and help prevent misuse.

Facebook and Instagram enquiries

When you submit a Driveway Tire form on Facebook or Instagram, we receive the contact details and answers you choose to send, such as your location, vehicle, interest in storage and preferred timing. We use these to respond to the request, discuss options and help arrange a booking. Submitting an enquiry does not by itself confirm an appointment.

An enquiry is not blanket permission for unrelated marketing. Any promotional contact must have an appropriate consent or other permitted basis. Meta also handles information on its own platforms under its privacy policy.

Who receives information

Our staff use the information needed for their work. When you ask us to coordinate with another booking, on-site or payment contact, we share the relevant visit or payment details with that person.

We use service providers to operate the business, including Netlify for website hosting, Supabase for customer records and account authentication, Resend for email delivery, and a business phone service for calls and text messages. Payment providers process payment information when you pay through them; we keep transaction records for accounting and customer service. The website booking form does not collect card numbers. Please do not put card details in enquiry forms or service notes.

Google services support website analytics, advertising measurement, address suggestions and maps. Address searches or directions opened through Google are handled by Google. To plan each day's route, our staff tools send the service addresses of booked visits to Google to estimate driving times between them, and staff may open those addresses in Google Maps for directions. We may also disclose information where required by law, or as permitted to protect rights, safety and prevent fraud.

Providers may process or store information outside your province or Canada, where it may be subject to local laws and lawful access by authorities. Contact us if you have questions about our providers or these transfers.

Cookies and advertising

The site uses browser storage to remember booking progress and selections, and cookies for signed-in customer sessions. Campaign information may be saved with your booking so we can understand how you found us.

Public pages use Google Analytics and Google Ads tags. Google may receive page addresses, IP addresses, browser/device details and activity, and may use cookies. Booking measurement can include a booking identifier, selected package, vehicle category and value. Google may use information for advertising personalisation depending on your settings.

You can clear or restrict cookies and site storage in your browser, although this may affect sign-in or booking progress. Google provides ad settings and an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Turning off personalised ads does not stop all analytics or advertising measurement. You can also contact us by phone or email to arrange service.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including ongoing service, storage and membership obligations, accounting, legal requirements and resolving disputes. The period depends on the record and the reason it is needed. You may request deletion; some records may need to be retained for legal or legitimate business reasons. We will explain any applicable limits when responding.

Protecting information

We use access controls and account verification to help protect customer records. Customer portal access requires verification, and staff tools require authorization. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep sign-in codes and personal booking links private, and contact us if you believe your information has been accessed improperly.

Your choices and requests

Contact our privacy contact below to ask about our practices, request access to or correction of your personal information, request deletion, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a complaint. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any restrictions. Withdrawing information needed for a service may affect our ability to provide it.

We send seasonal service invitations by email or text only where we have your consent or another basis permitted under Canada's anti-spam law. Each invitation includes a link to stop them, and you can also contact us at any time to change your preferences. Service messages, such as appointment changes, payment questions or safety follow-ups, are separate from promotional messages. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, where applicable, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec about a privacy concern.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when our practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. When a change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide that notice or seek consent as required.
