The short answer
Mobile Swap costs $70 for a sedan or coupe, $80 for an SUV or crossover and $100 for a pickup truck. No booking fees, and no travel charge anywhere in our service areas. Mobile Swap is paid after the work is done, by cash, e-Transfer, tap to pay, debit or credit card. Booking two or three cars at the same address? Each extra car is $10 off, and you can book them together online.
How that compares to a tire shop
Most brick-and-mortar tire shops in Ottawa charge between $80 and $120 for a seasonal on-rim swap. That price usually includes the swap itself but may not include extras like a torque check or pressure adjustment — some shops charge separately for those. You also need to factor in your time: driving to the shop, waiting (often 30 to 60 minutes during peak season), and driving back. For a family with two vehicles, that's potentially half a day committed to tire swaps.
How that compares to a dealership
Dealerships tend to be the most expensive option, typically $100 to $150 or more per vehicle for a seasonal swap. Dealerships often bundle tire work with other maintenance upsells — brake inspections, fluid checks, cabin air filters — which can push the total bill higher. Wait times during peak season can stretch to an hour or more, even with an appointment.
What's included in mobile pricing
When we quote $70 or $80, that covers everything: removal of your current wheels, installation of your seasonal set, every lug nut torqued to your vehicle's manufacturer spec with a calibrated click-style torque wrench, tire pressure adjusted to the recommended PSI, and a visual inspection of tread depth, cracking, and wear patterns. We also put down protective mats and clean up before we leave. There's no travel charge anywhere in our Ottawa and Gatineau service areas; outside them, any travel fee is quoted before we confirm.
Swap & Store prices
If you'd rather not keep your off-season set at home, Swap & Store bundles the mobile swap with storage: $149 for a sedan, $159 for an SUV and $179 for a pickup truck per season. That covers the swap, pickup of the removed set, wheel cleaning, position tags, seasonal storage and return at your next swap. Standalone seasonal storage is $89 per season; call us to arrange pickup or handover. Driveway Tire Club covers both seasonal swaps and storage both seasons for $259 (sedan), $279 (SUV) or $319 (pickup truck) a year.
Wheel cleaning and storage
Wheel cleaning comes with storage. When you choose Swap & Store or Driveway Tire Club, we clean your off-season wheels before they go into storage, removing brake dust, salt residue and road grime, then store the set indoors in a secured facility and bring it back for your next swap. Cleaning isn't sold separately with a swap-only visit.
